One lake cabin. One hot tub. Nobody else.

Everything two people need.
Nothing they don’t.
JEM Lodge is a lake cabin with a hot tub on a 75-acre Northumberland farm, twenty minutes from Newcastle — and the only building on the shore of its private five-acre lake. Fishing and the rowing boat are included in your stay.
A king-size bed, a living space with the lake filling its windows, a log burner for the evenings, a kitchen that’s properly stocked, and a deck with a hot tub where the day ends. The lodge sleeps two in comfort — with a fold-away bed and a cot if you’re bringing a small extra guest.
The best room is outside.
The covered deck runs the width of the lodge, a few steps above the water. Hot tub at one end, table at the other, and the lake doing its thing in front of you.
There’s a BBQ by the water for the brave, blankets for the sensible, and almost no light pollution — so when the sky is clear, stay out.

Before you book
Is the lodge warm in winter?
Yes. There is central heating throughout and a log burner in the lounge — logs and firelighters are provided.
How many people can stay?
Up to three: two in the king-size bedroom, plus a third — usually a child — on a fold-away bed in the lounge. A cot is available for a baby. Choose your party in the Guests box and the quote includes everyone.
Is fishing included?
Yes — fishing, the rowing boat and the canoe are included in every stay. Bring your own rod and a valid Environment Agency rod licence (it is a legal requirement on any freshwater in England).
Can we bring a dog?
We’re sorry — no pets, and no smoking. We keep the lodge a low-allergen space.
